Updated Schedule for the Holidays (Dated 20 Nov 2010)

Dear all, 
  I have gotten approval from the school to hold our remaining guitar classes at school Music Room in the mornings instead of the afternoons.  Hence, here are the confirmed dates and timings:

22 Nov (Monday) 
930am to 12noon: Exam preparation for pupils taking guitar exam on 30 Nov

24 Nov (Wednesday) 
9am to 10am : Wednesday (Junior) Class  
10am to 11am : Wednesday (Senior) & Thursday (Senior) Combined Class


25 Nov (Thursday) 
9am to 10am : Thursday (Junior) Class

26 Nov (Friday) 
930am to 12noon: Exam preparation for pupils taking guitar exam on 30 Nov

29 Nov (Monday)
930am to 1130am: Exam preparation for pupils taking guitar exam on 30 Nov

30 Nov (Tuesday)
Guitar Exam


1 Dec (Wednesday)
9am to 10am : Wednesday (Junior) Class  
10am to 11am : Wednesday (Senior) & Thursday (Senior) Combined Class

2 Dec (Thursday)
9am to 10am : Thursday (Junior) Class


With that, we have come to a close to the Guitar Enrichment Class in GMS(P) for 2010.  We'd like to take the opportunity to thank all parents, pupils and school teachers for your kind support & understanding through the year and we look forward to partnering you in another learning adventure next year.

Guitar Performance at GMSP Graduation Concert

Dear parents,


  This is to clarify the concern which some of you highlighted to us regarding your attendance at your child's guitar performance.


  We could all attend the performance last year because it was conducted during one of the morning assembly.  However for this year, the performance will be one of the performances at the school's Prize Giving Ceremony and from the school, only the parents of prize winners are invited to attend the ceremony.


  We thank you for your kind understanding and encouragement to your child to practice the songs.

Guitar Performance Rehearsal on 15 Nov 2010

Dear parents,

  We have been informed by the school that the concert rehearsal on 15 Nov 2010 (Monday) clashes with some of the Pri 3's Learning Journey.  As it is the full dress rehearsal for all performers, not just us, it is not possible for the school to change the rehearsal timings. 

However, the P3 pupils will still perform on 18 Nov 2010 as they have been practicing the songs since August 2010.  In addition, Mr Justaine will run through the last rehearsal on 18 Nov before the concert.

  For the rest of the pupils who are not affected, the rehearsal will still carry on tomorrow.  Please remind your child to bring their guitar.


  We are sorry for any inconvenience caused, encourage your child to practice the songs and thank you for your kind understanding.

GMS(P) Guitar Enrichment Class Blog!

Hi parents, pupils & teachers of the GMS(P) Guitar Enrichment class,

  It has been 3 years plus since we embarked on this learning adventure where the children not only picked up a new skill in playing the guitar as an instrument but they have also developed into confident musicians.

  This blog is set up to better serve all of you as we prepare for 2011.  To be published in this blog would be:

1. The most updated schedule for the classes;
2. The latest information on key events and performances that the children would be involved in;
3. Photographs & videos of the boys at key events and performances;
4. Much more things which would surface along the way!

We also welcome all of you to feedback to us areas of improvement as we partner the boys in the next lap of their learning journey.
